Oscar Almon McFarland gives details about his ancestors and describes the adventures of his father, Daniel McFarland, such as the time he and his brother Robert were struck by lightening, and how Daniel survived being bitten by a rabid dog. There is also a section on births, deaths, and marriages, similar to what you'd find in a family bible.
