Lonnie and everyone from our class, I have spoken with Bonnie numerous times lately, and also this morning. On Sunday they went to a friends house for one night, and then got evacuated from that location as well. Then they went to the Radisson Hotel. As of today it appears that their home is out of danger, but there is no school in session for the kids and the air quality is very poor.....so they are getting on a plane this afternoon and heading here. Bonnie's husband is staying there but will leave if things get bad in their area again. She knows several people who have lost their homes, including the dentist she works for and the state's Congressman. She does not have access to e-mail here so I will keep you informed. Thanks for the concern, and I will let her know she is in your thoughts. Bye for now.........Lynne (Antrim) Tacheny

Our classmate, Bonnie (Bonita) Cook - Rayl, and her family I believe still reside in Alpine, CA east of San Diego. This is an area that I understand was hard-hit by the CA fires. Good chance they are evacuated. Hopefully they still have their home. I wanted to let everyone know in case you want to send prayers their way.

Just a few minutes of your time - I am trying to keep our records up-to-date to make finding people a little easier for our next Ramsey reunion, so I have a couple of requests. First, your birthdate (month, day, and year). Second, if you have children or siblings send me their names (first and last). Third, look over our missing list on the web site. Someone must know where we could possibly find some of the missing classmates. Trying to find someone like Tim Anderson is like looking for a needle in a haystack! If you have any pieces of information, no matter how small about any of these "lost" classmates, email them to me. Last, please forward any changes in your information, especially email addresses. The internet is great for keeping information current, but not if you don't pass it along... Thanks for your help! :)

Well we finally set a date of Ocober 31st, 2003 at 7pm If you plan on being in the area please let me know and we can add you to the list of who will attend. I couldn't possibly be much happier!!!

I just wanted everyone to know that Cyndy (Osbourne) Grow passed away this morning (9/19/03)due to heart/kidney etc problems due to her diabetes.

Looks like we have lost another of our classmates. There is an announcemnt in today's St Paul paper of a 51 year old Kevin Carroll of Shoreview.

Hi All, For those who do not know already, Dave Paulus died June 2 of a heart attack. He was in Barbados working on a Cruise ship as a pianist. He was having a great time according to Bob Peterson. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family. Pat Markham Torgrimson

Hi All...just thinking about a very warm night 33 years ago! Sitting on the stage in the gym...anxious to get to partin' What a feeling of freedom and antcipation of life to come. Hope all are well and settling into being 50! Haven't heard from AARP Yet! Take care MKK

Saw in the paper today that Mr. Odanovich, Teacher and Coach at Ramsey High School passed away, Feb. 5th. Visitation Monday, February 10th, 4-8:00 p.m. Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 N. Hamline Avenue. Funeral Serivice Tuesday, Feb. 11th, at 10:00 a.m., Como Presbyterian Church, 967 Larpenteur Avenue. Thought you might want to know.

It was sad to hear about Linda.. I remember linda was working with Kim at har mar mall who was to think that both would get lupus...Something we didnt know much about.. I have a daughter who 10 yrs ago the doctor said has sign of developing it.. you dont hear much about it thank you cindy .. well on a better thought i have 3 more grandchildren that makes 8... who can beat that

At the party in August a few classmates asked about Linda Reinhart. Sad to report that her obituary is in today's paper. When we were planning the reunion I spoke to her brother George. He told me that Linda was not doing well and that she was suffering from Lupus the same disease that took Kim Swanson....

MARK BADEN (my big brother) will be 50 on December 1st. He doesn't really want a party, so if you would like to send him a card and wish him a happy birthday, his address is 2973 Beebe Parkway, Maplewood, MN 55109.If he see's this, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARKIE!!!Thanks.Debbie....

Thank you to classmate Vaughn Harrison. I just received, by mail from South Africa, original copies of the "Blueprint" (our high school newspaper). The collection consists of 12 issues from the months of November. '69 and March, April and May of '70. There are many enjoyable articles from the staff, guest writers and lots of pictures of our classmates involved in sports, political and social situations. If anyone would like to see them please contact me. (do not reply to this message) email to jai@citlink.comDave

7 pictures added from Karla Krushke. Thank you all for sending donations to cover the shortage. We have covered all expenses. Thanks again.

14 pictures added from Sue Smiley. If you have pictures please send them to Marykay Kelley and we will scan and post. All I can say about this deficit going away so quick and easy... I quote "crazy" Jim Engvall... "Not a bad class after all."Thanks

What amazed me during our get-together on August 9th was how many people were so friendly and interesting... I came away really wishing I had been able to know more of them when we were in school together. How good it was to come full circle, to come back home! Here's a question to the planning committee: is it possible to make available a listing of email addresses or phone numbers for those who did not attend??? Thanks again to the planning committee; Dave, I'm finally getting some deficit-reducing $$ in the mail to you!

Kudos to the event planning team. Even though we have all gotten ALITTLE older it was evident that we all held a never ending bond as friends. It has been over 34years since I saw my grade school friend Patricia Rasmusson and as we talked the memories filled the room. Can't believe Jim Westlund that you built a home for Mr Hable our 6th grade teacher. Ginny,Carolyn it seems like yesterday that we were trying to stay out of trouble. Steph remember Bel Rae Ballroom? Holly Meyers sorry you couldn't make it. Missed you. Memories are what life is all about. Thanks

Hi Rams! Just wanted to mention that Bonnie Cook will be 50 on Friday, August 23. Let's all wish her a very happy big 5-0!!! She and I met when we were 3 years old and celebrated our 4th birthdays together, not to mention many more after that! Hard to believe 46 years have gone by since then, especially when I look at Bonnie! She's still the same awesome little doll!!! Happy birthday, Bon!!!

I guess I've neglected to contact my classmates for the past 32 years or so, though I have managed to litter the countryside with ex-wives and girlfriends (enjoying single now). Currently I am living in Owatonna but will be moving to Aitkin in november, when my email changes I'll make a new entry.Gotta go burp my tupperware

Each one of you that I had the chance to talk with are special to me. I have memories of all of you. I just wish there would have been more time. I feel lucky to call you my classmates, my friends. Thanks Dave, Marykay, Cindy, Gary and Clare. You turned back time.Diane (Di Fri)

Wow – all the gracious comments are very flattering. Here is your chance to show your appreciation. We over estimated attendance (140 paying customers attended) and under estimated expenses. We are short $1900. We are looking for donations to make up the deficit. Anyone donating $50 or more will receive from us a 2 CD set of the hits of 1970. We will keep an updated total of our shortfall at the top of the web page so you will know when we have reached our goal. Thanks,
We are 50 Committee

I had a great time at the reunion. Thankyou to all who put it together. Penny Sugden, I wanted to say hello to you but didn't make it until I had to pick up grandkids at the airport. Missed some of you but was able to have lots of conversations with many. Great time. Great memories. How many classmates actually attended? Did you planners break even?

Just to join the list of those who want to thank the organizers - OUTSTANDING !! Your efforts paid off in a fun evening that went by far too fast. Thank You. It was great to see everyone - to hear all the stories - to get updated on those who couldn't attend. I look forward to the next one.

Thanks to all for a great party. It was a much appreciated labor of love to organize it all. Glad I could attend this one. Lynn, you are one of those lucky people who looks fabulous as a brunette, redhead or blonde! It was great to reminisce with you and all of our young classmates-

Hi again! I wasn't through writing and accidentally hit "submit"! So here's my continuation......Anyway, I wanted to talk to everybody, but didn't quite make it. And I surely didn't get into much depth with anyone, as most of you seemed to have a hard enough time getting past my "not-blonde-anymore" status!! ha ha Why is going from dark to blonde a non-issue, but going from blonde to dark a HUGE issue?!?! Go figure! Oh well....it gave us something easy and nonthreatening to talk about!! I'll save the heavy stuff for the next reunion, which I really hope will be soon! I promise to be there (unless I change my hair color again, or put on too much weight! ha ha...just kidding!)Hope to see and/or hear from some of you soon! Bye for now.........Lynne(As in "didn't-you-used-to-be-blonde?"!!!)

Hi Everybody! At the risk of sounding unoriginal and monotonous, I do thank the committee! i had an absolute blast! it was hard to talk to anybody for more than a couple minutes, as everyone was so nice and friendly, talkative and welcoming! And since this was my first reunion, I wanted to talk to EVERYBODY!!

It was so fun to see everyone, people that I never even knew in high school. Great food, great location for a beautiful summer evening in Minnesota! Thanks for all of the hard work and planning you guys did. I appreciate it!I was sad to see Jeff Weihe's "late" submission. I would have loved to have seen some of my favorite guys from Lauderdale. Do you all still meet at Dixie's on Wednesdays? Well, till we meet again may God's richest blessings fall on all of you. PS. I have pictures but know nothing about putting them on a CD???? What?

Just another public "thank you" to the hard working committee members. I really enjoyed seeing my fellow Ramsey-ites and wish Kim and I could have stayed longer (We had to rescue the baby sitter.). Debbie - you are MUCH too kind. Actually, when I look in the mirror and think about having another baby, I have to say - "What on earth were you thinking, dude?" It's obvious that most of us are much healthier than our parents and grandparents at this age, so hopefully we all have a long way to go! See you all next time!

Hey! I heard about this party after the fact. Sorry I missed it! My address must be out of date. Here's the new one. I'm living in Little Canada with my beloved wife Kathy (Olson) and my daughter Caitlin, who's now 14 and about to go to RAHS for 9th grade, my stepson Andy, my dogs Slurpy and Gus, my cat Melissa, and bird Sweetie. I still work at Twin Cities Public Television, where I'm a Producer/Director. Hope all's well with everybody and I hope we get together again soon! I'll be there.

Thanks to all who worked so hard for this party!! I was so glad that Tom and I came as it has been 32 years since I have seen most of you. Now I have to get out my yearbooks as that age thing has already started creeping in. I have a graduation party to plan myself for next month for my youngest as it as cancelled earlier this summer. I then have a wedding for another one in Oct. so next spring I guess I will have to plan a party at our place. We have lots of room for tents or the Hinckley Casino is not far away so keep in touch. I read Deb's note and was really sorry we had to leave early as I missed many I see. Can't wait to see everyone again. Again thanks to all who worked so hard!!! Mona

Please add my thanks to our hard working party coordinators. Once again, you did a fabulous job!Let us know if we need to pitch in a few more dollars to balance the party budget. At $20/person, it was a bargain!Cindy

Friday night is passed and what a wonderful time. Thank you all for planning such a terrific event. My laugh lines are a bit deeper after smiling and laughing so much. Seeing many folks for the first time in 32 years and renewing friendship that were long forgotten makes these event so special. I joined the evening early - not wanting to miss seeing any and everyone. Needless to say the evening just flew by. They had to kick us out at 1:00 and none were to eager to have the evening end. The class of 1970 is such a special group. The memories of those days fade occassionally and then we see classmates like Chris Olson, Cheryl Janke, Jon Kelsey, Sue Loveridge and Carolyn Wickstrom and try to remember where the last 32 years have gone. I was on the deck outside when a young man with his pregnant wife came outside - I commented to Pat McGuiggan that "he must be in the wrong place" and then realized that it was Ned Hanson - hello! He had aged about 5 minutes since graduation. It was so wonderful to see them and to realize that the reflection in the mirror of my life my not be the image that others see. That when we look in that mirror we are far to hard on ourselves then our long-time friends and classmates are. We ALL look wonderful and smile even brighter then usual in the presents of long lost friends. For those that we not there - we are sorry for whatever kept you away. We missed you and will try to make sure we do a better job in encouraging you to join us next time. I look forward to that. Again thank you committee for your commitment to this 50 year old reunion. Your work is always appreciated and enjoyed.

Well kids ( I sure did't feel like a kid Saturday morning) it was a great time! Didn't get a chance to talk with everyone but what a good time catching up with everyone. Thanks to all you guys for putting this together.Your efforts were sure worth it! Let me know if you do it again so that I can help in some way. Maybe the next one should be a weekend at Madden's or something to give us time to talk with evervyone. Time flys when you are having a good time I guess.Anyway it was great seeing everyone and I hope we get together again soon.

Just a quick note now that we are back home in Albuquerque. Thanks once more to all the organizers. The party was great and we had a wonderful time. Wish it could have lasted longer as I know I didn't get around to seeing everyone. Bonnie and Lynn, you looked fabulous! Dale, you look pretty snazzy in a tux. Bobby W. and Scott, you were great fun to talk to. Kathy, we'll e-mail the old pics as promised. Dave, thanks for your detective work tracking me to New Mexico 'cause I wouldn't have missed this for the world. Jimmy B & wife and Kevin Carrol & wife, great fun again to talk too. Etc., etc., etc. Stay in touch and let us know when the next one is planned. And let Bob & I know if any of you ever swing through New Mexico. All the best til next time. Karla

A bio on Sue Lupo submitted by her daughter Sarah. My Mother (a brief history) When she graduated from high school, she met my father--Lyall Fahden. They were married shortly after meeting and together, they moved all around the country. Lyall was busy working as a tree-logger and finishing graduate school (Theology). My mother stayed home with the kids. She had two: Aaron born in 1972 and Sarah born in 1975. When my father finished his Masters, we moved to Michigan, where my father was the pastor of the church (7th day adventist). My mother taught bible school and raised my brother and I. Then we found out that the church was embezzling money and so we left. We moved back to California...to Calistoga where my fathers family had 100 acres which had been in the family for over 100 years. They decided to turn it into a winery. http://www.hansfahden.com This was my fathers dream and during this time, my mother decided to go back to school. She took classes at Santa Rosa Junior College in the field of Computers and landed a job at Hewlett Packard about 3 years after we had moved to Calistoga. She left my father around the same time that she landed the job, when I was 8. She worked for Hewlett Packard until she died. She was married 2 more times. When I was 16, she was offered a position (programming) in Idaho and moved there with her third husband (Kieth Nicholson). She found out that she had cancer a few years after moving to Idaho (1994) and died about 6 months later (1995). My mother was a pretty quiet person who kept to herself. She wasn't extremely social or outgoing as you probably already know. She basically was happy with the peaceful things in life, like gardening. That's pretty much it, hope this helps. Sarah

Thanks to everyone for joining us, especially the ones who travelled long distances. I had a great time. I have posted some of the photos and you can click on the link (with the other links) to go see them. If you would like me to post your pictures, please send them to me on a CD and I'll get them on there ASAPJohnson Associates

Married and divorced (best decision I ever made!); two wonderful children - Andrea (18) and Adam (16). Barely surviving the teen years! Spent the last 20+ years at 3M as an Immigration Specialist preparing work visas for 3M employees worldwide. Have a great time tonight!

After leaving Alexander Ramsey I returned to South Africa to complete my national service in the navy where I was a sub-lieutenant.After the navy I spent five years at the University of Stellenbosch, outside Cape Town, where I obtained two degrees, being BA LLB, and so that I could practice as a lawyer.I joined the dept of Justice for two years working for the attorney general and appearing in the Supreme Court of South Africa for one year acting for the government. In the meantime I studied further at the University of the Witwatersrand, part time, for two years to get a post graduate tax qualification.I joined my present law firm in 1978 to practice corporate law, and was made a partner in 1983.I married my wife Vanessa in 1987 and six months later contracted cancer, but was successfully treated. I was told that I would need to be "clear" for three years to be regarded as successfully treated, so we put breeding on hold. I subseqently developed an international law practice which involves a fair amount of travelling and at times we have shuttled between three homes on two continents, and have accordingly limited our family to three cocker spaniels, namely Charles, Diana and Andrew, and my wifes horse Ataturk which we keep in SA and which she rides on visits to South Africa. We are presently living in London, UK, where I have opened an office for my firm. This requires me to travel a fair amount, and quite often to South Africa on business. I will be travelling to the International Bar Association annual conference in Durban in October where I will be a speaker, and next month I will need to visit Toronto on business. Travel does not cause any domestic difficulties as Vanessa accompanies me on most of my trips.I am enjoying the new challenges in London and the new office is proving a success. We are currently acting in various matters for clients in Hawaii. California, Colorado, Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, New York, Ireland, England, Holland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Canada etc. A large number of the matters involve mergers and acquisitions. Some of the US clients represented by me are United Airlines and Eli Lilly. I also assisted in defending ICI in the action launched against them by Johnny Cochrane when it was alleged that the Oklahoma City bomb made by Timothy McVeigh was made from ICI fertilizer. Our home in London, for the shoppers, is between Harrods and Harvey Nichols and we are currently suffering building stress as we are conducting extensive renovations having bought two properties which we are also in process of joining. It is only later that you discover that the floors and ceilings of the two properties are not level with each other and have to be added to the list of things to be done.I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the function tonight and I wish all attendees a very enjoyable reunion. It is hard to believe that more than 30 years have passed. I have many happy memories of the school and my one year stay in Minnesota which I enjoyed very much. I made many good friends and enjoyed wonderful hospitality. I have made a number of return trips and currently have relatives living in St Paul.My South African address is - PO Box 650763,Benmore,2010South AfricaMy office address in South Africa is Private Bag 10015, Sandton 2146, South Africa. I have a phone no in South Africa which is 27 11 535 8131 and my Secretary in SA can be reached on 27 11 535 8173. I would love to hear from you.Regards and best wishes,Vaughn

Cindy - I don't think you should attend either since your birthday is not until the end of Nov. You shouldn't hang around with this "old" crowd. All attending - enjoy tomorrow night, eat a lot and make a toast to those of us who are there in spirit. We will be waiting to here comments and see pictures. PS: I have several extra applications for AARP if you didn't get yours.

There will be ample food tomorrow night. Please come HUNGRY. The person who arranged the catering suggested that 50 year olds are more interested in food than a "less mature" age group might be. So we ordered heavy - don't have dinner before. See you tomorrow.

I've really enjoyed reading everyone's comments.. A BIG "THANKS" to the committee for getting all of this arranged. Here is an update since my last entry for the 30th reunion. Married for 27 years to Pete, my son, Tony (23yr), started his own ceramic tile business about a year ago and is doing great. My son Nick (21) is a jr. @ Pittsburg State University. My Husband started his own business in Jan '02 called "Sports Concepts".. He's a fund-raiser for different events/organizations in Kansas City. I'm still working at IBM and I'm involved in our community. I'm on the Board for an organization called "CASA" (court appointed special advocate) for kids in the court system thru abuse/neglect. I also volunteer with one of CASA's programs called "KidsVoice" and do numerous fundraising events for CASA. I'm also vice president of a women's Investment Club called "WITT" (Women Investing Today for Tomorrow). That's what I've been up to Lately. I hope to make the 50's party..

I wish I could come, but my dad is terminal with lung cancer and I will be with him. We had to admit him to Lakeridge Care Center until a bed becomes available at Our Lady of Counsel Cancer Center. He is a great dad and I feel lucky to have had him. My mom, who worked in the nurses office at Ramsey, is doing pretty well with all of this, but I do feel I should be with her. I wrote about my life for the last reunion, but will update for those who didn't see it last time. I've been married for over 27 years to Bob. He owns DuFresne Mfg. in Vadnais Hts., Envision Plastics in White Bear Lake and also Ziptech Technology. We have 3 great children, Brian (25) who works at Envision and married Jen last October, Christopher (20) a student at U. of St. Thomas, he will be studying in Rome for 5 months, and Ashley (15) a sophomore at North St. Paul. We've been fortunate to have 2 cabins, one on Balsam Lake in Wisconsin and the other of the Ash River near Voyageur's National Park. We will be traveling to Rome after Christmas to see Chris and are building a new home SE of Hugo on acreage we bought. I've been very lucky if life and in reading your e-mails can see a lot of us have been very fortunate. I hope all of you have a great time on Friday and hope to be at the next reunion. Meanwhile I will be spending time with my dad and appreciating every minute we have left together.

Cheers to all! What an eclectic ride since Ramsey. Macalester was a hoot--living on first co-ed dorm floor in the U.S. with chaps from Kenya, Ethiopia, and Iran. (Fahmi from Tehran thought I should be his dad's 9th wife!) Also studied in Oxford and Vienna and traveled 'round Europe. Worked at a lodge by Glacier Nat'l. Park two summers and was 15 ft. from a gorgeous grizz! My dad went legally blind in his early 30s so I put off marriage/family to see the world, in case blindness hit me too. Fun proposals along the way, including one from Fahmi, center of Morocco's '84 Olympic Basketball Team that practiced in Mpls. (Couldn't see myself living in Casablanca and speaking French though.) In meantime, joyfully helped raise niece Kelly and nephew Ryan (now 11 and 15) while brother Dave ('74) and Sandy established custom builder and realtor careers. We're still so close as they live nearby on Bald Eagle Lake.In '81, while working at Science Museum of MN, I suggested they make Omni film on the "Vanishing West" and even pitched Robert Redford (in person-whee!) to narrate it. In '84, co-wrote zany "Organic Puppet Theatre" wellness book and it's still selling! I've shared lively OPT activities with 20,000+ kids and adults in U.S., Canada and Europe. Most satisfying: offering 10 years of interactive OPT skits to thousands of St. Paul inner city 3rd graders at an annual health fair! (125 10-min. shows in 4 1/2 days each year!)In '86, worked with "Peace Child" (first-ever Russian-American touring musical of kids and adults) about bringing our countries together in peace and friendship! Did publicity, hung with Stas Namin Group (famed Russian rockers in show), and then worked with Kennedy Center finale and band's NYC gig. Explored four exotic Russian cities with "Peace Child" director and friends at height of glasnost in '88. Experienced Berlin Wall jubilation one week after it opened in '89. Contributed to four books on topics from education to gratitude, have wacky photos of me in a wacky book (ask me about it!), and now writing kids' fiction. In "Creating Emotionally-Safe Schools" by Jane Bluestein, I touted vast opportunities at big schools like Ramsey and laughingly recalled dreaded arm hangs in those tacky blue gymsuits. (Tried to tuck in Big Curt's endearing "you people are just wunnerful, wunnerful" assembly comment, but that got cut.) Still work on freelance projects, occasionally speak to groups, and assist a gifted speaker. Also edit/co-write "The Traveler," global tourism newsletter and work on int'l. events to connect kindred spirits, including a cool cultural heritage conf. in Hawaii (reason I missed Nov. 2000 reunion). Currently seeking creative new biz projects and horizons. Much to do to help bring about a more joyful, peaceful world! Ideas, anyone? Huge thanks to all who helped make this "yippee-50" gathering happen. Look forward to seeing everyone. And hey merry band, my grandma turned 100 in late May so we're only HALF-WAY there, mere KIDS!!!

In memory of Randy Kennedy Randy may be deceased but I assure you his memory lives on. Randy Kennedy was a very talented/gifted individual who was well liked by all who knew him and loved by those who knew him well. He had an uncanny abiity to imitate many famous movie stars and cartoon characters. It was live (on stage) entertainment whenever Randy was out and about. He would have all euphoric with laughter in a few short minutes. Randy was a good husband and father. He worked as a heating and airconditioning repair man. You could always count on him to show up immediately when your air conditioner was on the Fritz in 90 degree + or to fix a furnace in January. He was in two motorcycle accidents which ripped his left leg considerably and left him in a constant excruciating state of agony for years. Eventually he became dependent on pain pills to aleviate the unbearable. On Oct.17th,1998 Randy went to sleep peacefully for the last time. His heart had had enough. Randy was a great friend and I miss him terribly. Every once in awhile, I will stop to smell the roses-----SMILE-----and remember, "The way it was". Randy Kennedys message to all of you! "Live long and prosper"-----"Pilgrims".

I have been teaching high school math for 27 years, currently am the department chair at St. Cloud Tech High School. Married my husband Al after one year of teaching. He works in the Printing industry. Have 2 daughters, Lisa, (23) who works for Fairview Health Systems and is the Athletic Trainer at Centennial High School in Circle Pines, and Michelle,(20) who is in her second year at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.I keep in close contact with Barb Bruns, who now lives in Cloquet, but she is out of town and will not be able to make it on Friday. We had our own little mini reunion in July when Debbie Kiel was back from California, and Kathy Chrun joined us and the 4 of us spent the day at Debbie's parents home on Mille Lacs Lake.Looking forward to seeing lots of people on Friday evening.

I went to St. Olaf College, Northfield MN (double major in Biology and Chemistry, graduated cum laude) where I met my future huband in freshman calculus class, then to Texas A&M University in College Station, TX for a Master's degree in Biology (married Russ the first year of grad school), then to Colorado State University for a Ph.D. in Soil Microbiology. My daughter was born my first year of my Ph.D., and my son was born the first year of my post-doctoral fellowship at the Natural Resource Ecology Lab in Fort Collins, CO. I went from Colorado to the University of Georgia as a Research Associate, and from there to Oregon State University. My husband is a full professor at OSU, and I just left the University after 15 years as an assistant and then associate professor in Botany and Plant Pathology and Forest Science. My University research program developed into an internationally reknowned business, called Soil Foodweb Inc. I own the lab in Corvallis, OR, the lab in Lismore, Australia associated with Southern Cross University, have a lab in New York on Long Island, and the lab in Holland opens in October. I'll be leaving for Maui, Hawaii to lead a Farm Tour on Tropical Organic Agriculture on Friday Aug 9 in the morning. I'll think of you all at the reunion when I'm at Ono Farm in Hana, Maui on Friday night! I leave next Monday for New Zealand, and then Australia to do a speaking tour of both countries, lecturing about how to achieve higher plant production and better plant nutritional value without using pesticides or inorganic fertilizers, through improving the beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa and nematodes in the soil. Both my sisters live in Mound, Minnesota, although my parents both died several years ago. I get back to Minnesota to visit because I usually am invited to speak someplace in MN during the year. Sorry I won't be able to make it to the reunion, but I doubt any of you would recognize me anyway. I'm a good 30 pounds lighter than I was in high school - although I still wear glasses and have long, brown hair!

I am so sorry to miss this event! What fun it would be to be there. I will be escorting my mother to a family reunion in DC at the time of our birthday party. Here is a brief update: I am still happily married to John Downing, class of 69. He is a professor and researcher at Iowa State University in limnology (study of lakes). I am a Title I teacher, helping children who struggle with math and reading. I also run the "At Risk" program, where we intervene early, on many levels, to try and keep kids in school. We have two daughters: Kate(20) and Anna(17). I hope that you all are happy and healthy and will definitely see you at the next reunion!

I would love to be there, but my parents are having their 60th anniversary that day in Montana. Maybe next time.

In '73 my dad died in a boating accident.Got married in '74, had 2 kids, Deanna,22, and David,20. In '89 I was diagnosed with cancer, had surgery in Mar, filed for divorce 2 days after I got out if the hospital, lost my mother to cancer in May. Not the best year of my life, but I did learn not to sweat the small stuff. I have been a bookkeeper since before we graduated, with a few short term jobs in between. I live about 10 miles north of Cambridge, work in Anoka. I got married to Bob in '93. He's an "alignment technician", a fancy word for front end mechanic specializing in alignments and suspention work. He loves working on classic car suspentions and alignments and has done a number of them for past customers that have come into his shop. Just a little plug in case there are any car buffs out there. My life has been pretty laid back, not getting caught up in the fast paced world. I enjoy sitting on my porch watching all the critters we have on out 28 acres. I've noticed that there are quite a few of us that have moved up to God's country. Sure beats the city. You couldn't get me to move back for anything. Not sure if I'll make it or not. My manager is on vacation this week and I'm in charge. By Friday I'll probably be so wiped running the store that I won't know which way is up.

Cindy, as promised this is a brief bit of info . . . . Hope this is helpful. Thank you for remembering her. . . . . . . Vi Please advise that you received this. Thanks After high school Mary worked at Quality Pk. Co. in St. Paul as a mgmt. secretary. She moved with the company to Chicago and subsequently married and moved again to Los Angeles with Q.P. She later moved on to Wolf Range Co., to become operations manager.Mary passed away Dec. 1989 from Lung Cancer. She had only one child, Brooke, (the love of her life) who is now married and living in St. Paul.

Doran Levy sent this note in remembrance of Kim.Cindy,Here are a couple of paragraphs to show some of the things Kim did. She was a remarkable person. Thanks for doing this.DoranAfter leaving high school, Kim Swanson received an Associates degree from Lakewood Community College and a Bachelor's and Law Degree from Hamline University.Kim married Doran Levy in 1977 and together they started Market Structure Research, a full service marketing research company. The company grew to 12 full-time people and 70 part-time workers, serving clients such as Pillsbury, General Mills, Marriott and others.Kim suffered from an auto-immune disease called systemic lupus erythematosus. This disease confuses the body's immune system and causes it to attack itself. Kim tried to live as normal a life as possible, but on December 17, 1984 she died of complications fromthe disease.

Wow! It's been 12 years since I've seen most of my 1970 classmates. This should be a fun event - just trying to put names and faces together might be a challenge!Iv'e been happily married for the past 17 years to Jana. We have three kids ages 16,12, and 10. Life has been wonderful and I have absolutely no complaints. We spend our summers mostly at our cabin in NW Wisconsin, but I will absolutely take a weekend off to attend the reunion.I've been fortunate in my career as an architect - I'm a senior partner with BWBR Architects in St. Paul. We're an 80 year old firm with a staff of 100, with a focus on the design of hospitals, clinics, churches, criminal justice, and corporate facilities. Looking forward to seeing you all and swaappin big stories!

I returned tothe Twin Cities in 1989. Following graduation from the University of Minnesota, where I majored in art history and design, my husband and I moved to Washington, D.C. - over the years we have lived in Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon and Pennsylvania. My husband, Ron, is a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, currently stationed out of Camp Pendleton, California. However, since September he has spent most of his time in Kuwait and Korea. He will retire in two years if all goes according to plan. We have two "grand-girls", Allyson (5) and Emily (2 1/2). Our son, Mike (25) and his wife Lisa, live in Hastings and our daughter Laura (22) and her fiancee' Jason, live in Plymouth. Our foster daughter, Amanda, lives in Rogers. After several years of transfers, both corporate and military, we spent nearly 10 years in Philadelphia, Pa. We relocated to Maple Grove to give our kids a Minnesota base to add to their east coast roots. Career-wise, I work at Wilsons Leather at the corporate office in Brooklyn Park, as assistant to the Chairman and office manager of our locations in China and Hong Kong. With staff and retail locations around the world I have been fortunate to do some international traveling -- love it! My interests continue to be art, painting, jazz and travel. I am looking forward to the reunion - see you there!

I am looking forward to the reunion. I am married with three children (13, 11, & 9) and have lived in San Diego County since 1986.

I vaguely remember high school. I tended to keep to myself. It was not the best three years of my life. What followed hasn't always been glamorous either. I have been married to my husband, Tom, for 29 years. We have two great kids, Bradi Lynn (named after a fellow '70's grad, Linda (Carson) Jezusko, who is her godmother) and Ian Knight. Bradi will be a sophomore at Valparaiso University this fall and Ian will be a Senior at Waubun High School. My husband, Tom, is an over-the-road truck driver at the moment but would really rather be a stay-at-home dad. He loves to bake bread and chocolate chip cookies. I am now a Pastor in the ELCA here on the White Earth Indian Reservation. I have a two point parish. We lead a fairly simple and uneventful life. I am taking a week's vacation and looking forward to the "We are 50" celebration. (I turn fifty on August 3rd. I will be new at this fifty thing.)

Wish I could be there but we have a prior committment that weekend. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have 3 children: Tom 25, a financial advisor with NWML in Chicago; Philip 23, a student at Univ of IL and Meghan 21, a student at DePaul University. We have been in the Chicago area for the past 7 years and prior to that, Cincinnati for 5 years, due to my husband's job transfers. I work in Chicago as a financial underwriter for Aetna Health. Will miss seeing everyone but hope to be at the next one...possibly a 35th year reunion?

I have so enjoyed hearing about what everyone has been up to. I moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1971 with my parents. Got married in 1973 and had the first of my three children in 1982. Got divorced a couple of years ago after almost 26 years of being married. It was a good decision for me and my kids. I've been an Engineering Technician at Honeywell for almost 28 years now. I'm very active in my church both in the ministry and with the "Parents For Life" group. Getting used to dating again. It's better this time around. (If I only knew then . . .) :-) Wish I could be there for the get-together but I've still got kids in school and they start school that week so the timing is not particularly good. My best to all, hoping the website stays up for awhile and people keep posting to it. Would love to see pictures from the gathering on the website.Special thank you to those doing the behind-the-scenes work to get this together.

Another opportunity to walk down memory lane is too appealing to pass up. Turning 50 may not be a great thought, but as I read the list of classmates no longer with us, this sure beats the alternative! Each day is a great day if your health is good, mind sharp and your friends are around you.Not much has changed since the last entry for our 30th reunion. My oldest (Bjorn) is a Senior at Gustavus, Hans will be a Junior at Augsburg and my youngest (Tjersti) will be a Senior at Mounds View High School.I still own a buisness started by my father in 1958. Everyday I am reminded of him, he passed away one year ago this summer.I just retired from coaching soccer in a traveling soccer program, after 30 years of soccer, it is time to continue my competitive drive in playing in the Twin Cities Senior Golf League...one of the great advantages of turning 50...See you on Friday night....PS......YES, JIM MISHEK, YOU WILL HAVE TURNED 50 BY FRIDAY....

See everyone there.

Sorry this is late! Here's my life since 1970 in a nutshell: I worked for six years as a newspaper reporter (hello to fellow Blueprint staffers, you were truly a vocational inspiration)and an archivist for another six years (don't ask). Since 1991, I have been practicing law at Fredrikson & Byron in Minneapolis. I've cut my hair and had my braces off for quite some time. My complexion has finally cleared up. That's it. See you soon

I have really enjoyed reading what everyone is up to..I guess we are all very busy. We have six beautiful daughters 5 grandchildren,One of our daughters is due aug 17 so I hope we will still be able to come. Our oldest is having twins in Dec...Jim and I love to travel, We went to playa Mexico 3 times this year... Of course we took all the girls on 2 of the trips They are all alot of fun. We hope to see you if not we will be waiting for a new addition to the family..

Looking forward to saying Hi to some 50 year old freinds.

It will be great to see everybody again, had a great time back in 2000. Thanks to everybody involved for organizing this event.

Hi everyone, I'm late as usual. Living in the country on 120 acres of woods among the deer and bears and all the other wildlife.Love it here. Lost my Mom 2 weeks ago so everything is behind. I have 3 daughters and became a Grandma for the first time March 30th. Can't wait to spend time with him. Hope to see you all soon.

Greetings from North Branch MN. I had planned to attend the gathering but now it will not be possible. Fortunately, I have stayed in touch with a few people - my best friend for the past 36 years, Jackie(Deeb); Robin(Averbeck),and Diane (Fryberger) and I just had lunch a couple months ago with those guys and Debra (Ankerfelt),and Bonnie (Hausker). Wonderful, wonderful people! I am married to a great guy named Bob who shares my interest in theatre, gardening, song birds, childrens/youth issues and politics; I direct a non-profit agency - Youth Service Bureau- for at-risk/hi-risk kids in Forest Lake, MN and was elected to the North Branch School Board last fall. I have five kids of which two are my own. My son, Christian, is a district executive with the Boy Scout organization and my daughter, Kelly, is 15 and a basketball player. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating our 50th birthday (not happening to me until the end of Oct.)I will think of you all. Hope to see or hear from some more of you in the future.

Thanks again to "The Committee"...you are great! See you there.

Hello everyone. Wish I could join the group as I missed the last get together. Life is good in Dubuque, a great river town on the Mississippi a lot like Stillwater. We moved here 8 years ago. Before that we were in in Des Moines for 5 years, and 2 years in Memphis before that. All these moves were because of a career in the billboard business. We worked for large and small companies and then started our own which we grew for 3 years then sold to a big nationa company.Last year we started a new gourmet coffee company in Dubuque called Key City Coffee Company. We have two espresso bars and a catering company,I have a great friend and wife in Diane. We will hit 25 years next July. We have 3 girls, Katie, Kristen, and Kimberly.I wish all of you the best. Call or stop if you are ever on the river near Dubuque.

HELLO! I've been living in Billings, Montana since 1981, and loving every minute of it! I've been married to Joe Rude, my best friend, for 26 years. We have three kids; Anne 22 yrs, who is a senior at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul; Karl, 19 yrs, who is a sophomore at the University of St. Thomas; and Eric, almost 15 yrs, who is to be a freshman in high school... how did that happen so fast? Joe and I spent most of our working career in the health care field, mainly in the owning and operation of nursing homes. At present, we have leased our homes to a west coast corporation, and Joe is managing 4 nursing homes in North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 7 years, volunteering at school and church, and chauffering the entire world somewhere, some place, everyday and always at breakneck speed. I still love hiking in the mountains, horseback riding, camping and visiting with family and friends. I hope you enjoy the reunion gathering...
Best wishes to everyone!

It is great fun to hear from everyone from our class! I can't believe how may have stayed in the area. I recently moved to the Nashville area and cannot believe how beautiful it is! I have moved around quite a lot - following my husband with his career. We lived all over the Twin Cities (Bloomington, Burnsville, and Stillwater) and even to Duluth for a few years. My favorite spot was Stillwater and loved boating on the St. Croix. We recently moved to TN from TX. I have been married 25 years and have 2 sons (almost 21 and 19). Our sons fell in love with TX and are both going to college there. I have been in medical social work, recently in the hospital setting. I am looking for a new adventure and would like to steer away from the health care setting. Will see what happens! I hope y'all have a wonderful time at the reunion - let me know when you are having another one.

HOTEL SUGGESTIONSMarriott Courtyard and Residence Inn @The Depot225 S. 3rd St. Downtown Mpls 612-375-1700**very nice, not the typlical Courtyard. Has indoor skating rink and Waterpark. Just across the river from the St. Anthony event center.

I have lived in the Sacramento area for 29 years. Ouch, doesn't seem possible, but I still get homesick for Minnesota! I have been married 26 years and have 2 children, a daughter 23, at Sacramento State, majoring in Business. I have a son, 18, who just graduated from high school and going on to college. I am looking forward to the "We Turn 50" party (hard to believe) and seeing people I haven't seen in 32 years. See everyone in about 1 month.

Greetings...I'm married to John, an exec at a company in Vadnais Heights. FOUR kids (two from my first marriage) - 30, 27, 15 and 13. Lived in Europe for a few years - fabulous experience. John still travels there every other month, so fortunately I get the chance to go back once in awhile. Currently working at a FUN job - the emergency department at Regions hospital. A great group of people, including classmate (and #1 ER doc) Joel Holger.

Looking forward to seeing everyone; am married, have a great eight year old daughter, and am living in the Cayman Islands during the school year. My husband is Canadian - he's really funny...we are retired more or less. Thanks to all you organizers - I'm sure it will be a night to remember!!!

Married to Dan for 31 years-have three great kids. Nathan is 28,married to Kim and has two girls,2 1/2 years and 3 months. Great fun being a grandmother! Lindsay,my middle,is 26 and a lawyer--she way surpasses us! Amy, my youngest is soon to be 21 and in her third year at UW in Whitewater. I haven't seen anyone in years and look forward to making old acquaintances. Oh, I am a Pre-school teacher at a private school in Anoka. See you all there.

Sorry, No official hotel for out of towners but, the Hyatt Whitney is as good an unofficial place as you'll find. It is very handy to Saint Anthony Main. If it's too pricey, the Holiday Inn Metrodome is nearby, or the pull out thing in my basement. You can learn about the area and the Stone Arch Bridge at these web sites. See you in August. DaveSaint Anthony Main Event Centre
Minnesota Historic Sites: St.Anthony Falls Historic District

Now that we've made plane reservations, we are looking at hotels. Is there a host hotel that has been selected for out-of-towners (I've no family left in the area. They followed me West.) We are looking at the Hyatt Whitney which has been recommended by Becky Kurk (Ram's 71) as close, across the bridge (I don't remember a stone bridge there) and nice. Any other recommendations or ideas? Thanks for the input.

Have lived in the Forest Lake area for 25 years, and on the lake now for the last 10. There are a few of us here in this area that I see periodically. Married Ken Borle in 1973 and we have three kids - Court, Carrie Ann and Jonathan - all either in college or graduated from. I am the Forest Lake School Superintendent's Secretary and have done this job for 15 years. I turned 50 in Feb. Glad that is over. Hated it. The last get-together was a great time and I'm looking forward to the one next month. Thanks again to Dave and the committee for putting this together.

No internet at home anymore so use my wife's work e-mail. No stupid jokes please. See you at the reunion! Dan

Hello Snowbirds, Sorry to have missed the 30th! But really enjoyed seeing the pictures on the Website! I married my husband Patrick, in '74'; We have 3 children:Mary 25,and twin boys, Jamie & Patrick, 19. We lived in Mahtomedi, Mn., til '98'. Patrick retired from the Dept. of Corrections, and we moved to Fl. Our daughter is still in Mn., but may move here come fall. We'd love it, as this would also let us see our 1st Grandchild so much more! The twins moved out, and after a little "empty nest" syndrome, life's gotten to be terrific! We're in Seminole, within minutes of the Gulf beaches. We also have a pool(there's a little to much wildlife in that saltwater for this corn fed Mn. girl)!! We both work part time. I'm back in retail,Mr. "Go Go" Gomez would be proud! Guess some of the old DECA program stuck after all. I work at a Kite & etc. shop, and Patrick works at Target. I still have my 1100 Virago motorcycle...But my favorite toy is the 1967 Cougar I found.(I had a '67' Cougar XR 7 after I graduated...).It's mint, and a real time machine for me. I love drivin' it. I turned 50 in May, and to minimize the shock, spent 5 days in Key West doing the "Duval Crawl". It was great....and I still feel that Life is a great adventure! Very much hope to make the party, see y'all, and visit my home state. Thanks to Kathy for finding me! My e-mail is: puessies@aol.com Later, Judy.

Much to my surprise I will be in town that weekend, so I am looking forward to seeing people I haven't seen since the 20th reunion. I'm an old mainframe programmer working for AmerisourceBergen, a drug wholesaler. We've been going through a merger and the new headquarters is in Valley Forge rather than Orange CA. Our buyers work out of Eden Prairie, so maybe I will get to visit on company time some day. I've been going to the community college to try to get my skills updated to the web world. There are a lot of older students in these classes, but I've run into my daughter's classmates too.

THE COMPANY THAT I OWN HAS AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT WITH A HEAVY HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR THAT OPERATES IN 5 STATES. WE DO ALL OF THIER COMMUNICATIONS FOR 79 PORTABLE ASPHALT PLANTS AND 31 PERMANANT PLANTS.THIS INCLUDES THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES,LAB TRAILERS, MACHINES AND 400 FOOT RADIO TOWERS SCATTERED EVERYWHERE. RIGHT NOW WE ARE REBUILDING US #2 IN SEVERAL AREAS BETWEEN SUPERIOR WI AND WAKEFIELD MI. AT IRONWOOD MI WE HAVE AN ANTENNA ARRAY FOR THE MICHIGAN U.P. LOCATED ON TOP OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST SKI JUMP 475 FEET . I SPENT THE WHOLE WEEK TRYING TO DO A 4 HOUR JOB OF STRINGING NEW ANTENNA CABLE TO THE TOP REPLACING THE OLD BROKEN LINE. THE WEATHER WAS 50 MILE AN HOUR WINDS FOLLOWED BY THUNDERSORMS (WHICH INCLUDE LIGHTNING). I WAS TRYING TO GET DONE WITH THAT, SO THAT I COULD PICK UP THE GPU (GROUND POWER UNIT /JET ENGINE STARTER) WE HAVE BEEN REBUILDING AT THE MN AIR GUARD HANGER AND RUN IT DOWN TO OSHKOSH ON THE LOW-BOY SO WE CAN START OUR JET WARBIRDS DURING THE AIRVENTURE SHOWS. THIS HAS A DOMINO EFFECT ON MY PLANS. THE WEEKEND AFTER OSHKOSH ENDS WE HAVE AN AIRSHOW AT FLEMMING FIELD IN SSP. SOMEWHERE IN THERE STURGIS FITS IN . AT THE SAME TIME MORE WORK PILES UP. ... TURN THE PAGE (BOB SEGER)...... ANYWAY, HI EVERYBODY!! HOW WAS YOUR DAY/WEEK :) COULDN'T HAVE PICKED A BETTER LOCATION I HOPE IT'S A BEAUTIFUL EVENING NO BUGS AND A GENTLE BREEZE OFF THE RIVER. I'LL TRY .... BYE

I'll be out of town that week and not coming back until Saturday. If I come back early, I'll be at the reunion. I am currently single and loving it. I have three wonderful children - Jenny (25) who work in bank card reconciliation at USBank, and moved back home two years ago, Andy (27) who is an accountant at St. Paul Company and is a part-student at the Carlson School of Business in the Masters program, and his wife Stephanie who just got her Masters degree and now works in the finance are at Northwest Airlines. Now that my kids are grown up I am busier than ever. I worked for 21 years in the Payroll Department at Gillette Co. (the razor blades not the hospital). The St. Paul plant was sold two years ago and the new management messed with me and my Gillette retirement, so left there 1 1/2 years ago. I now am a Payroll Systems Analyst at ADC Telecommunications. I worked with the Ramsey County Sheriffs Literacy Program during the school year. We help the kids (mostly Hmong) with their reading so that hopefully they will stay in school and out of gangs. I'm also the treasurer at church and on the Board of Christian Education. I don't know why everyone is complaining about turning 50 - I think the older I get the better I get. When I look back to 32 years ago, I was pretty pathetic and boring. I'm much more fun (and better looking) now. If I don't make the party - have a great time.

Back in the Twin Cities since 1989 and have grown up to be a Nurse Manager in a really busy L&D unit. I expect someday I will run into a classmate having a grandchild here. Scary thought! I will not be 50 until October and continue to enjoy being 49. Mom of three great boys, 21, 18 and 16. It will be fun to try and recognize anybody since I didn't become a Roseville resident until my sophmore year at Ramsey. See you in August!

Greetings from the “Land of Large Hail and Damaging Winds”: Thank you to the Committee for efforts in locating me. We’ve changed addresses about a dozen times in 32 years. Since 1994 I’ve been the co-owner and general manager of a pair of radio stations in Central Nebraska, I also teach an occasional radio/TV programming class at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. It’s my second go-round in Nebraska, my first job in broadcasting was not too far from here and it is where I met Carol my wife of 28 years. We have two sons, Ike (22) and Zack (14). As you may recall I was one of the “Ramsey BLUEPRINT” editors, the school paper that at one time or another pissed-off just about everyone at school including, as I recall, our faculty advisor and even our printer. My intent upon graduation was to continue with a newspaper career, but the radio bug bit me and I never stayed in print. Maybe it was doing the morning announcements in place of Mr. St. Germain (“Stigerman”) or maybe it was going to WDGY with Sue Smiley (Hi Sue, I saw you already posted on the web page) to interview DJ Jimmy Reed, but I’ve been in the broadcasting for my entire career. I spent the first 15 or so years on the air in various capacities and then got into general management at WNFL in Green Bay, WI in 1986. Because of that, the two worst days of the year for me are when the Vikings play the Packers. Corporate radio got big and weird and being the control freak I am I went into ownership of our current properties and that’s me now. Actually since one of the stations is programming “Oldies” I’m never far from the 60’s. Last spring we hosted Bob Dylan, last summer the remnants of the Beach Boys and we have the Hollies and Lovin’ Spoonful (or what’s left of ‘em) coming in July its fun in a second-adolescence sort of way. Hey, some things don’t change much; spring 1970 Paul marries Linda, spring 2002 Paul marries Heather, all in all not a small feat for a guy rumored dead when we were all in high school. Speaking of being dead, I almost was. I was jogging on a treadmill at the YMCA in January of 2000 and it is by the grace of God (and I mean that literally, not figuratively Mrs. Schmookler wherever you are) and the fact that there were TWO doctors exercising not too far away who performed emergency CPR that I have not joined the 17 other classmates who have regretfully passed on. I had triple bypass surgery immediately after that episode and am back exercising and leading as full a life as before. My point in this long communiqué is that while I plan on attending, I am 600 miles away and have a business, so nothing is for certain and I did want to respond to the invitation because this has obviously been a large project. Once again, Cindy, Clare, Marykay, Dave and Gary, thank you for the time you took to hunt me down, I’d love to hear how you found me. Craig

I've been married to the same wonderful man for the last 32 years in August. We have two children and 4 grandchildren. After living almost 4 years in Arizona and 3 years in Germany we settled down in Chisago City, MN. We live on a farm and raise registered Quarter Horses. Its a family operation and we have around 70 horses. We do quite a bit of traveling with the horses and sell young stock all over the US. I've also worked at the same job as a corporate office manager in charge of all of the accounting for the last 22 years. My husband is full time machinist so between the farm and our day jobs we keep pretty busy.

This is a great site. Have really enjoyed scrolling through and seeing people I haven't seen (for the most part) for 30 years. I have to ask, since we are all at the door (or over the threshold of 50) whose idea was it to print all 560+ of our names on the invitation in 2 point type??? Trying to read that made me feel worse than when that blasted AARP invitation to join showed up! Any way, a quick bring you up to date in case we can't make it. After Ramsey, left the snow blown state and headed to Eugene, Oregon. Went through Eugene Art School, then most of University of Oregon before getting married to Bob Towers. Had two beautiful daughters, Deidra, now 25 and a graphic designer who works in her dad's successful business and Jessica, 21 and in private banking. Spent a number of years in radio as sales and management. After rusting in Oregon for 23 years, got divorced and moved to sunny New Mexico. Fell in love with the rugged beauty of the desert. Married Robert Anderson who I had met back in Eugene in '95. He is my best friend, constant companion, business partner and love of my life. We have an advertising agency that is on the grow and I also work for one of the largest commercial printing companies in the southwest (heat set web, specializing in magazines, etc.). Have also been a bureau manager for a national weekly newspaper, etc., etc. It's been an interesting life. If we can make it to the party I will fill in the blanks. In closing, sorry to see that some of us are gone already but happy to see so many more of us are still around. Wish someone could find Maggie Galvan. My last address for her was Silver Springs, Maryland but that was ages ago. Thanks for creating the website. Keep in touch and hope to make it in August. Karla

I would very much like to attend this get together, but most likely cannot due to a previous commitment out of state. A quick rundown of what I'm up to: Married for five years to Susan. Two kids, Elizabeth age 2 and Jack age 1. Still self-employed in the tire business - past 25 years. We love to travel and go to the lake. We are active people and take good care of ourselves. We're very happy!

OK - it appears that some of you might be toying with the title of "Supreme Late Bloomer". So right here - right now, I challenge anyone (from the class of '70 , of course)to match this! I was married back in the '70's for 4 years - no children. I married my present wife (Kim)in "92. We now have two children (Olivia-6 and Jack-3) and number three is on the way in November (I don't know if I'm looking for congratulations or condolences.)! So thinking about how old I'll be when my last one finishes high school or college is strictly prohibited! I can't even say the word "retirement" (That's why I've spelled it out for you). I graduated from the U of M and have gathered a few additional diplomas and certifications along the way (Including schooling in the areas of: biomedical electronics; computer technician; information technology; and computer networking). I've worked as an advertising copywriter and market research analyst, but have primarily been involved in sales and marketing of medical devices / equipment. Most recently I was employed as a sales engineer for a B2B E-Commerce software company - but was layed off when the economy started taking a dive. So, I am currently unemployed and looking for a position back in the medical arena - which brings me back to that late bloomer concept (and not really knowing what I'll be when I grow up). Kim and I hope to attend the party, but don't expect me to get all misty-eyed 'cause I won't turn 50 until late October! However, if anyone is interested, I might be able to persuade the "Soul Support" to provide an encore performance for the dancin fools I know you all are (Where'd I put that drum set anyway?).

Greetings to all fellow CyberRamseyItes!! Ah!..where to begin???? After leaving Ramsey in what seems both eons and just days ago,I went to ST Cloud State for partying and a bit of study. Left SCSC and then endured the "U" for awhile. Also took classes at Augsburg..they at least had film classes one could get into at the time. Alas..my Spielburg Dreams dashed...I ended up working with our family business "Carroll's Fine Furniture" in Arden Hills. Anyway...I met and married my wife Mary, in '74-5 and it will be our 27th anniversary on Aug 9th..the night of the party. We are planning on coming and hope she can stand the "do you remember whens" etc. We moved into a new house in Arden Hills close to our store after we were married. I was diagnosed in 1982 (4 months after our first child, Anne was born) with AML Leukemia. It was a very dark time and there was a very slim chance of survival. Somehow, I was able to win the battle and I have been cancer free for 20 years. Had 2 healthy sons after that, Patrick -14 and Michael- 12. Daughter Anne now a junior at Bethel College We closed our furniture business in '98 and recently sold our building in AH and our name "Carroll's Furniture" to another party and they are now open for business. My mother Lil passed away last July and she is greatly missed. My family and I have lived in Shoreview now for the last 11 years and I sing and compose music for our group "Lifesong" at St Odelia's Crosier parish in Shoreview. As many of you laugh or cry as you look at some of the pictures in your year books (that is..if you can still find them) remember that "Ole Skip" took some of the best of 'em. See you all at the party!! (Especially looking forward to seeing "NICHOLE'"... she kwows who I mean! Ha Ha. Also Sally, "Ice Tea", Mr. Drange and all the other life survivors. And..Yes I WILL be 50 on June 27th!!! E mail me to lessen the blow somebody OK? Til then... "Life is what happens to you While you're busy making other plans"...John Lennon

After graduating from Ramsey, I went into the U.S. Navy where I was a Medical Corpsman. I served with the Navy for two years then was transferred to a Marine Corps rifle company, where I served as a Corpsman for an additional two years. I came back to Roseville and went to work for the Ramsey Co Sheriff's office. I then quit the Sheriff's to become a St. Paul Police Officer. I worked as a patrol officer in the University and Dale area for eight years. I was also a member of the CIRT (Critical Incident Response Team) for six years as a sniper. I was promoted to Sergeant and have worked in several units including Vice, Robbery, Burglary, Auto Theft, Fraud and Forgery. I am currently assigned to the Traffic and Accident Unit where I am the Crash Reconstructionst. That means if there is a Fatal or serious injury crash in the City of St. Paul, I get called, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I attended Northwestern University to become certified in crash reconstruction, which includes using equations based in physics, trig, and calculus. I was never a great math student and always said I would never need advanced math skills. Guess I was wrong. I still live in Roseville, have been married to a great woman who puts up with my on call hours. Have four children who have all graduated from Roseville Area High School. Two of them are married and I have a three year old granddaughter. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Aug.

Hi all..After the 20th reunion, I headed south to work for Walt Disney World as an Area Manager in Resorts! but alas even in the "happiest place in the world" you can get downsized! so since 1994 I have: been part of the original management team for "Old Navy" (Gap)(opened 25 stores in 18 mos), Director of Casino Services at an indian owned casino, managed a furniture store, was General Manger for Herberger's and currently District Manager for FranklinCovey Company (9 stores in 4 states) Never married, but have 8 nieces, 4 nephews and 2 great-nieces! that I can spoil! Thanks to the great friends I made at Ramsey (and St.Rose) no matter where I live ( been on both coasts, and Fargo ND)they are the stability in my life! See y'all in August! MKK

I've already responded but just to fill anyone in that won't make it to the event and was lucky enough not to read my rant from last years bash.........I spent the years following graduation wandering around the country tryng to find out what I wanted to be when I grew up (if I grow up). I was a potter (like to eat to much for that job) a flower salesmen, bouncer, bartender, managed a strip club, freight dock worker, truck driver, and mny other in between. Then I met my lovely wife of 20 years Debbie Baden (Mark Baden's sister). We were married on my 30th birthday ( I had this thing about not getting married until I was 30) 3 years later our first son Cale was born. He is now a Jr at Central high school enroled in the Gifted Program there. ( it skips a generation I guess)He is a runner and a wrestler and has been the captain of the wrestling team the last two years and lettered as a sopomore in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track. Jake was born soon after and attends Johnson High. Follows his dad's foot steps on the front line of the football team and lettered as a sophomore this year. Soon after the boys were born I thought I'd better get a real job so it was back to school. I studied mechanical design and now work for 3M as a Master Engineering Designer. Mostly desigining machines that make and convert sand paper. Spent five months on and off in South Afica installing one of these things and have made many trips to England,Netherlands, Germany and Spain for work. It's been fun. Thank goodness because I had all my fun when I was young they'll find me slumped over my computer one day and that will be my retierment. Debbie is an executive assitantant the "U" St.Paul Campus for 26 some years.Besides keeping us "boys" in step (a job all in it's self). July 24th will be our 20th and my 50th all in one day.I'm happy hear so many will be there in August and liked hearing from those of who will not.Maybe at the 60th? (if I make it. If I had know I would live this long I'd have taken better care of myself) Thanks again to Dave and all who helped get these things together it's been fun. See you in August.

FYI - I have added a response page with a complete class roster so you can see who has responded in the mail too! (see above with the rest of the links)

I had a great time at our get together in November of 2000 and am very sorry that because of previously planned vacation, I will not be able to make it this time. It's really hard to believe that we are at or near the 50 mark! In many ways, I feel younger today than I did 20 years ago and fortunately, life just seems to continually get better. So, have a great time everyone and I'll look forward to the website update!

I just hope this is the right class. It seems as though there are a lot of the entries that have college aged kids or older, some even have grand kids, some are retired or close to and then there are names that don't quite sound familiar (maybe that is telling of my age)....I on the other hand have a 2 1/2 year old, Max, and will most likely be working for another 30 years. I've lived in Boulder, CO (very nice town...some of you may have kids that go to CU) since 1978 which means that I have lived longer here than in Minnesota yet I still consider Minnesota home. I am looking forward to returning home and visiting with some old (in a nice way) friends.

Didn't marry till age 35 ~ too busy being an athlete and taking months off work to bike tour through places like Spain, New Zealand, Alaska...so now our 15th wedding anniversary, 50th b-day bash and Ramsey Rams High School We're 50 Party! Married to Greg Franzen, St. Thomas Grad by way of Chicago, Ill. He's from a family of 8 and for whatever reason we never had our own kids...both athletes and kept busy training and competing...we both qualified for and raced in the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon in 1993 and '94 ~ it was an incredible accomplishment. I started playing hockey 9 years ago and absolutely love the game. Last year I learned to row - a sport I always wanted to do and hope to race in a regatta this summer. We love to travel but someday will settle down on our 20 acres in Cable, WI. A cabin is in the dreams with plans coming together. Greg works for an Luma Sales, an electrical rep in Chanhassen and I've been in the fitness business for 25 of 26 professional years. Currently I'm the Director of Athletic Events with Life Time Fitness based in Eagan, MN. Am currently working on the Life Time Fitness Triathlon where some 2002 participants including 60 of the world's top professionals will race around the Minneapolis City of Lakes Parkway system. It all takes place at Lake Nokomis on Saturday, July 20, 2002. Volunteer any one? Call me! Check out the website at www.lifetimefitness.com and click on the tri, 10K, Torchlight 5K and Reindeer Run icons for a peek at the fun things I get to be part of! Look forward to seeing everyone in August!

While I was busy being obsessed with finding people for this get together, my daughter is finished with her 2nd year At Valparaiso. She is a meteorology major and is currently on a "storm chase". Yes, like 'Twister'. I'll never know where she gets this?? My son is putting in his last day (before school's out for summer) of being a sophomore at Irondale HS, or Ironjail, as he calls it. My wife of 21 years is working at Fairview University Health systems. I have 3000 hours of time flying a Beech Bonanza and a computer habit. Terry, the roof looks great. Steve Wood, sorry, you will have to come to the party to find out how I tracked you down. And, If you see Bill Gates around or talk to him by Wireless, please have him come the party so I can get my $1500 for forwarding the email tracking test. Dave

been reading all the comments from people that have moved out of state and thought they might be interested in a little nostalgia. my company, which happens to be based in roseville, designed and managed the historical restoration of the roof replacement of the cathedral of st. paul.the project budget is $35 mil. was originally schedeled to take 30 months to complete, but will be done in 18. history or restoration buffs or just to reminisce, can view vidios of the reconstruction at www.cathedralsp.org or you can link from my web site. see ya

Wow, this brings back memories (but they are getting awfully fuzzy). It looks like our class has done well -- everyone has a great story. Dave, I'd love to hear how you tracked me down. Just after graduation my parents moved to Miami, FL. I went to college at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland (B.S. in Computer Engineering) then Stanford University (M.S. in Electrical Engineering). I then joined a little startup called Microsoft when it was only 4 people. I've subsequently been involved in starting 5 other companies, the latest of which is Wireless Services Corporation. I got married between college and grad school; we've now been married for 26 years. Our son is in his 3rd year at UW and our daughter just graduated from high school. We've moved to Seattle twice; the first time when we moved Microsoft here in 1978 from Albuquerque and the second time in 1985, probably for good. I do a lot of skiing (snow in the winter and water in the summer). I played soccer until the 3rd knee surgery, still play softball. I'm a volunteer firefighter/EMT. I doubt I'll make it back there this summer but at least I can look at the pictures now.

I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CindyI am indeed Ann's older brother. Ann spent her senior year at Interlochen Arts Academy ( http://www.studyusa.com/boarding/factshts/interlochen.htm) in Interlochen Mich. where she studied the viola. She graduated and then went to California Institute of the Arts in CA where she met and married Jim Teeney. Jim, a musician-composer who taught at York University in Toronto where they lived with their two kids, Adrian and Nathan. She loved to play the local Toronto Gamelan orchestra. She died of cancer in September 1986. It was very sudden, just over a year after the birth of Adrian and only 9 months after learning she had cancer. Her ashes are at Lakewood. If you would like to know more about Ann please feel free to ask me for more. My studio is located in Missoula, Montana where I live with my wife and son Nathaniel (the toMake Studio http://www.tomake.com/).

Dave,I read your tail of woe, but guess what I'm not there yet, Yeah!! It is just a matter of time though, OK, less than a month. Its 95 degrees and sunny in the Southwest desert of St. George Utah. We are having the childhood we always dreamed of, riding the new RoadKing, playing golf, and my husband trying to find me a new job (he doesn't work any more of course)! I have been retired for just over a year and I am bored, need something new to do. I won't be able to make it to the big bash, wish I could, sounds like a great deal of fun! Thanks for sending me the info. on the reunion.
Deb Lundholm (Kramm)

I have totally enjoyed reading all the comments, mostly from people I haven't seen in 32 years! Some really amused me, and for those of you who remember me, I love nothing better than good humor! I wouldn't miss this upcoming reunion for anything! I missed most of the last ones because I was somewhere else in the country, but now that I'm back, I'm staying put for awhile (I think). See you all soon!

Greetings to my friends from Ramsey; It has been a long time... seems like I've been 39 for a long time. There are many of you that I haven't seen for too long and I know that this party will be unforgetable. If I weren't still 39, I would come to this darn party for sure! I have to see how harvest and business schedule shape up before I know about attending but I will try to attend. I still haven't grown up yet, one divorce proves that. I play at my ranch with my horses (7:Hombre, Gold King, Winchester, Dandy Dan, Red, Little Red, & Curly), my cattle (currently bottle feeding calf "fourteen", playing farmer (I grow barley, oats, durum, wheat, & alfalfa). I still collect skiis (I have six mounted pair next to the door of my condo by Beaver Creek) and I mogul/powder ski about sixty days every year. I run a small internet marketing firm called Colorado Webco, Inc. and I support myself as a retained consulting engineer to a marshmallow company in Chicago. ...Haven't completely left my MN roots behind, I still water ski in Minnetrista on some investment property where I occassionally reside. My sister and her family reside in the our Roseville home and Dad still spends the warm months there. I haven't ever missed a MN Christmas. I hope my friends will feel free to drop me an email so that I can know that they are doing well! Take care all, Leego

Larry and I have been married for thirty years-boy where did time go. Have 4 kids,Jr. married with 3 kids, Josh graduating from high school and Heidi 16, Amber 14. We still have the farm, raise beef now instead of milking.

Fellow Ramseyites,Life has been interesting in Missouri. After graduating with a degree in Social Work from UM, I ended up here on a hog and cattle farm in 1976 (that's what I get from living on the St. Paul campus and marrying a farm boy). After 16 years on the farm, and working at various social service jobs to support us, my husband finally hung it up. He then moved into selling real estate which also has long hours, is very unpredictable, however is much more profitable. We moved 25 miles away to the suburbs of Columbia, MO and kept the land (we are now "welfare farmers' - much of our 500 acres is in the Conservation Reserve Program).
After working as a deputy juvenile officer for six years (where I was a terrible "heavy") I decided I needed a break from the intense world of crisis intervention if I wanted to survive my own children's teenage years. I recieved my Masters in Counseling in 1989 and have held great jobs since that time. I currently am working full-time as Director of Career Services at Westminster College, a small private, nationally-ranked, liberal arts college. I also do occasional contract work for two adoption agencies, as I was a full-time adoption professional for six years.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th annivesary last fall, and are now looking forward to being "empty nesters". Our oldest is in the Marines (who would have thought it....hippy Meg - mother of a Marine!) and our youngest is headed to Westminster this fall (can't beat the tuition benefit!).
We have moved around a bit in Columbia (building up equity in realtor terms), so I may have been a little hard to track. However during the summer of 2000 I panicked that Ramsey would be having a reunion without me so I started calling around to see who was in charge. The first big SHOCK I found was that my high school no longer existed, a true Twilight Zone experience! (Does this mean my discipline record - which included wearing too short of a mini-skirt, is purged?)After I heard the unthinkable, that we had combined with one of our arch rivals, I called the "Community High School" and explained my plight. They put my name on "a list" and gave me the contact name of someone to call. I called that person (the 50 year old mind can't remember the name) and gave her my updated address, etc. I am sorry to say I was never notified of the event in the fall of 2000, however have immensely enjoyed it through the photos (thank-you!). In fact, maybe I don't even need to appear in August, now that I know what you all look like! Seriously, someone might want to check and see if the "school list" still exists, and call the contact person's number listed there. They may have more information on "lost class members" like myself who called the school. (Thanks to a relative who recieved the forwarded invitation, I learned of this event.)
p.s. Spicy memories include my first kiss (Tom Loerzel) and in 6th grade, going to Barb Bournes house after school and calling boys. Randy Benson was our favorite to call because he always had a crazy antic to share with us!
Looking forward to seeing you in August,
Meg
p.s. I also have email at home Langland@socket.net

I haven't moved far from home - only four blocks. Married 25 years, sons 21 and 12. It was a strange experience when my oldest, Dan, started having Skie for math, and was called "Dave" more than once. I'm on my 12th job since finishing Macalester, as Asst. Community Development Director at the City of New Brighton. I'll probably stay as long as they'll have me. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Living life large near Afton Alps in a double dome. Married 23 years this month. Two boys (12 and 14. My ninth grader is 6'3" (genetics is real). Work for Eastman Kodak Health Imaging in Oakdale as Purchasing Manager. Can't wait to see if I can recognize anyone. I've shrunk an inch so maybe I can fool a few people.

I have been living in St.Louis (we have spring and fall!)for 13 years with husband, Jim, son, 21, and daughters 19 and 16. Prior to that we lived in Newburgh, Indiana, Belleville, IL, and Denver. My degree is from U of M, but have been a stay at home mom as we have moved often and Jim travels for work (Sr VP Peabody Energy Co). He plays drums in our church praise band and I help write grant requests for a non-profit youth center. Our youngest daughter also keeps me busy with diving carpools (both of our girls are jocks, son into computers, IS- they don't take after me). My Dad died a year ago, but Mom still lives in Mahtomedi. It was really fun reading all of your comments. Time to dig out the old yearbook! Hope to see you in August.

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY PHIPPER! I TOO SHALL ATTEND.

Sorry I missed the last one. The pictures of the last get together were fun to look at and see that we're all aging gracefully!! I've been in Chicago for the past 20 years having fun in the high tech world. Been married for 27 years and we have three great kids. Gave up soccer and tennis for golf. After playing soccer in high school and college the knee's are shot. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and a special thanks to the organizers of this get together. Jeff

The last get together was a good time, I look forward to another great evening.

The last couple of events have been great fun. Wouldn't miss this one. Thanks to all that put this together I know how hard doing this stuff can be.Looks like a good turn out so far and the venue sounds perfect. See ya all in August and hello to those who can't make it. E-mail if you get a chance would love to hear from you. All The Best Chuck.

This 50 year old biker phenomenon is getting curious. What's next, Hell's Rams? Also, I hear that it is esteemed St. Paul policeman and classmate, Rick Klien's rklein14@excite.com, 50th birthday today. He deserves a few e-mails from the class. Rick sends a few "eternal truths" to share. 1) Once over the hill, you pick up speed. 2) Age is a very high price to pay for maturity. 3) Some days are a total waste of makeup.Condolences to Mary Graiziger Gagne, who lost her mother in law, Mary Gagne, last week.

wish I would of knowen about the 30th . Sounds Like this should be a blast. married twice singel again . but what would you expect from a screw off from the 70s . sober for 21 years . had my owen buisness for 14 then sold boats then went to work for sooline railroad have been recovering from a back injury for the last 6 years and got tired of sitting around so jumping om my harley and heading for vages then to cal then to washington state should be a good 3 or 4 week ride . just remember we had big dreams in the 70s then we got married and had to deal with the problims of raising familys now we are 50 the next 20 years belong to us again !!!!! so let the partys start and all the dreams come true > we owe it to ourselfs to have as much fun as we can 3/4 of our life is over but the best is yet to come .the best thing about turning 50 is the good friends we have made and it started at Ramsey . see you all soon Jim

Hi everyone! I am looking forward to seeing lots of you in August. the last "casual get-together" was a lot of fun! I encourage everyone that can to try and attend! See some old (50 years! yikes)friends and maybe make some new friends! MK

Greetings to all and what a great idea this is! I'm too far away and will have used my summer vacation time already. Would really love to be there. Have a wondeful time and I will be with you in spirit. What a special class we continue to be! Thanks to all the organizers!

I liked Dave's "countdown to 50" note. My birthday is at the end of August. So I won't be 50 (haha) at the party! As I stated in the 2000 list, I didn't stray too far. I am really getting tired of this damn cold weather, though. I like to say that I live in the state of "Depression" er Minnesota. I see Hawaii in my future (I can only hope.) My Bald Eagle Lake neighbors include Tom Maze and Cindy Browne (classmates). There are a few other Ramsey grads on the lake, also. Life lately has been very busy and enjoyable. I have been a workaholic lately... working two jobs. One full time. One part time. It helps make the winter go by (certainly more profitably). Winter just seems to be more and more annoying. I see some of our classmates are retiring. I'm not sure I am ready for that, yet. I really do like the challenges of work. Time is advancing way too fast. I can't believe that I am going to be 50! It is just too amazing. There is going to be a big party in my future to mark this significant event. Thanks to all for putting out the effort to put this together. I know how many hours this takes. Last note... I just heard that Kent Smith is still coaching track. He must be the only one left. Thanks, Jim

I,ve been married for 221/2 years. My wife is a vp for acompany in dc. My oldest dauaghter,20, graduates from the u of m in dec. and my son , 19, finished his freshman year at Fort Lewis College in durango, colorado. he,s decide he's not moving back. i worked road constuction for 23 years. currently i'm a co-owner of a golf shop in hudson, wisc. The night at awada's in 2000 was a great time. we also had a very nice little gathering last yr. at the frieght house. thanks again guys for organizing this. see you there.

I wondered where my class ended up since I hadn't heard anything about a reunion since our 10th, which by the way was lots of fun. Paul and I have lived in Wadena, between Detroit Lakes and Brainerd, since 1976. Our children are completely grown up and having children themselves. Currently we have 3, ranging from 7 1/2 yrs old to 2 months. Our family size increases by 3 just in 2002, actually 4, one being our son's wife to be. Today is my first day back to work after enjoying the winter traveling with Paul. He retired in 2000 and insists that I have some time off too. Our preference is the Pacific Coast in Mexico. I have been in Marketing and Development for the 1st National Bank for 13 years and may hang it up in another year. Life is good, the only thing to make it better is to see my friends that I was once so close to in the 60-70's.

Hi from France! Lots has happened since those "good old days" in Minnesota. After graduating from the U of Minn I worked for several food companies around the country and met my husband, Moïse, in Baltimore. I continued to follow him around the country while we had three childre and I finished two masters degrees. We moved to France (south of Paris) 11 years ago to be closer to my husband's family and to give our children an experience with a different culture. My three children are now in the States at the university - my oldest daughter (22)will be graduating in a week from the U of Wisc and is waiting for replies from med schools. My second daughter (20) is also at the U of Wisc and my son (18) is in the HPME program at Northwestern University in Chicago. I work in a language school in management which is a big change from working in marketing in the food industry. I'm glad that I found this site and sorry that I won't be able to attend the party in August - sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

What fun! Thanks to those of you organizing this event. I have 2 wonderful daughters, Jessica begins at MCAD this fall and Stephanie will be a senior at Roseville Area High School--our Ramsey. I've been single for a month, after slogging through the divorce process for 17 months (and 26 years of marriage). Life is good. I work in study abroad at the U of MN and will be giving papers at two conferences in the UK in July but back in time for the party! I look forward to seeing everyone.

Some things never change... I popped into this page and realized that you guys have been havin' parties for years. I figured I missed the 30th reunion when this year rolled around now I discover the secret "class-of-70" page. Cool. I had a goal to retire at 45 and made it by 42. Am taking up art, and building a studio to play in. It kinda sucks having been invisible in high school when it comes to attending these things... I guess I will have to satisfy my curiosity and show up. Bless you all and hope to see you soon. Steve

I never left Minn after High School. My parents still live in Roseville (88 years old each) and I live in Vadnais Heights. Married to a my Insurance Agent (Wendy) for 18 years and have 2 girls (Ashley - 14 and Lacie - 13). The girls keep me busy with Soccer 4 nights a week and weekends for tournaments. I'm even the head coach of my 13 year olds team. Kind of funny since I haven't played Soccer since high school. When I do have spare time, I golf, hunt and hang out with Jon Kelsey. Jon and I couldn't make the last get together because we were on a hunting trip. Everyone take care and hope to see all of you I remember or remember me in August.

Since the last two entries were from Lino Lakes, I decided to add a 3rd! Sounds like a good time. I am getting together with Sally Heuer on May 10th for dinner if any one out there wants to join us! Just call...

After being a building contractor for thirty years my wife and I decided to open a tanning salon in the Forest Lake area. It has proved to be very succesful

It's always fun getting together with old friends. Can't wait.

Retired Public TV exec now designing a second career in consulting around leadership development, change and partnering. Married to '71 grad Dave Bossard. Our dog, Mocha, rounds out the family.

Hello fellow Rams! I am living in a Milwaukee suburb & have been here for 16 years. My husband & I own a computer consulting/Internet services company called Computer 911. After high school & a BA in piano performance from the U of Iowa, I taught at Rymer School of Music & had some of my classmates' children as students. While working as a pianist for Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop, I met Steve Culver and married him 9 years later. He has 2 children ages 29 and 30, both married. No grandchildren yet! His advertising photography job brought us to Milwaukee, so I went for a master's degree in mass communication at the U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Then I worked as a staff writer for Sailing Magazine, based in Port Washington. I sail on Lake Michigan and skipper a J/24 in a womens racing series. Also I have been out to sea, delivering sailboats & doing a little cruising. I am a member of the South Shore Yacht Club, Nordic Ski Club, Sierra Club, and the First Unitarian Church. When visiting my mom in Roseville, I still attend Roseville Lutheran Church. My dad died of cancer in 1999. Come to Milwaukee for the sailing and to see the amazing Santiago Calatrava addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum. We also have a retractable domed baseball stadium (and you don't)! Send me e-mail. I hope to make it on August 9. My 50th is June 29 and I'll need all the support I can get!

Looking forward to it!!

I've been married 29 years to my honey, Larry. We have two children Kimberly(28)and Kyle(23) We have four grandchildren. After high school I attended college at Bemidji State University where, I received several degrees. I attended the UofM for my masters in Vocational Education for Special nNeeds Children. My husband and I both taught school and I retired after becoming ill. My husband still teaches at Blaine Senior High, in Blaine,MN. We have lived in Vadnais Hts. for the past 22 yrs. We also have a home in Webster, WI which we plan to spend our retirement years. I am busy writing a book, sewing and knitting for the grandkids, and just enjoying life. Hope to see you all at the "50's" reunion.

This is my new address as of 04/23/02. I do not have my new phone # yet. I will probably have a new email address, also.

It was great to see so many memories in person at the 30yr reunion. My 21yr old son lives in mpls so it's always great to have another reason to come up to visit. I have the date inked on the calendar and looking forward to it. As for 50 bring it on.

There have been a few lighthearted complaints about the "50" theme of this party. Several, who seem to be a few months from 50, have been suggesting we call it "We Are NOT 50 Night". But, as I sit here (11:16 4/11/02) the final few minutes of my 49th year are slipping away. I don't feel good or bad about it, just tired. 'Cuz I stayed up late. I hear 50 year olds need thier sleep, have hot flashes and low bladder pressure. Ah, I'll know in a few minutes. Gary Trapp, who was 50 in February, says "50 sucks". I believe him. And, he has all sorts of mysterious aches and pains developing the last 2 months. I keep telling myself "You're only as old as you feel"? "It's just a number" (my wife said that this morning) I don't really feel old but, I'm afraid that's because I'm so imature.Maybe I'll write some profound quote here while I turn 50. Like TS Elliot or Ben Franklin. That would be nice. Time does go faster as you get older, just like my parents said it would. That's it!! "50 is when time goes faster and pee doesn't go as far." ?? I had sooo much fun at that 30 year get together and have reconnected with a few people that really made me feel young again. Try to make this party if you can. Wooo Hooo - Happy Birthday to me in 10 minutes now. It's kinda like breaking the sound bearier or reaching the top of a mountain or going through a portal to the 4th dimension. If you're not there yet, ask me tomorrow and I'll tell what it's like on the other side.

Sorry that I missed the November get-together. The pictures tell it all! It must have been a great time. I'm alive and well in Andover. Looking forward to seeing all of you. Later.............

This is a great idea. I appreciate all of your efforts in trying to locate all of us. Do you need any help during that evening? I would be more then happy to help.

Okay-since the last one came up suddenly - I have added this to my outlook caledar with monthly reminders - so I can loose a few pounds, find a new outfit.....plastic surgery is out of the question! See you all then!

I was very sorry to have missed the 30th reunion so I am excited to try and make it to this event. Sounds fun!

Hey, I won't be 50 til NEXT year! I missed our 20 year reunion(was in labor with our third child), also the 30th; but am excited to come this August. I've lived in Washington State since 1982, after working at Holden Village in the North Cascades; was a critical care RN at Mayo in Rochester before that, after graduating from Gustavus Adolphus. I'm married to Chris; we have three kids, Peter,17, Sarah,15, and John, 11. See you in August!

The last one was such fun how could anyone miss this one!!

It was great fun to see some people I remember from Ramsey on the 2000 page.

OOps! I should have read the intro a little closer or scrolled down to see the entries; I missed the 30 year re-union. I found out about it through an email about the informal re-union scheduled for Aug. 2002 in which this URL was included. -- Contrary to an article about Diane Chapek in which my name was substituted in error, I didn't die in 1970. I have been married to Alex Baluczynski for almost 27 years. We have four children; 3 in college right now and a junior in high school. This semester I am taking my last class to graduate with a Masters in School Library Media Studies and am a school library media specialist in Eagle Grove, Iowa. --
I was disappointed that I didn't know about this! I was hoping we'd do something for our 30th! My husband Pete and I have been with Campus Crusade for Christ for 27 years and currently live in Colorado Springs. We began with the Athletes in Action Gymnastics team and now recruit people to fill short term positions on the mission field. We have traveled to about 14 countries and plan to go to Tanzania this summer. After being totally humiliated by my friends while in marching band, I still play the flute. I play regularly in church, and occasionally in a wedding or a tea. Racquetball has taken over as my first love in sports, but I think I will always be a skier! Our boys are 24 and 22. Aaron is married and lives in Bozeman Montana where he teaches English (I hated English). Mike will graduate from Northwest Nazarene University in May of 2002 and plans to go to Seminary afterwards. I'm hoping to see everyone in August of 2002.
